King Stevens Productions has been 23 years in the making. The company began as Pops Neon Enterprises in 1984 and evolved into KSP in June of 2005. King Stevens is located in Beulah, Colorado, the site of our recording studio, The Hideout @ Mace's Hole. We are well-trained in a variety of musical styles: rock, pop, R&B, jazz, country, hip-hop.............even classical!!
Steve Hobson Executive Producer/Music Director Steve Hobson has over 40 years in the music business. He earned a degree in music composition from UCLA, where he studied with Henri Lazarof and Paul Des Marias, among others. While at UCLA Steve was a recipient of the Stanley Willson Memorial Scholarship in Composition and winner of a Clifton Webb Endowment. Before moving to Los Angeles in 1970, he was a member of the Pueblo, Colorado horn band Karma. While in California, he performed with the Cordova Brothers, A Taste of Sherry and an all-original band: Moxy. Steve has been fortunate to have worked with producers Joe Reed, George Tobin and Tim O’Brien, composer/keyboardist Scott DeTurk, drummers Russell Bissett and Peter Lambert Smith, guitarists Jim Reed, Kevin Dukes, Kevin Fallon, vocalist Dick Wells, bassist/engineer Don Tittle, keyboardists Mike Spotts and Ernie Wadda and singer Joanna St. Clair, to name a few. Steve was a founding member of Songsmiths, a songwriting collaborative and studio band, and helped build Shooting Star Studio in Venice, California, where he cut his engineering chops under the tutelage of Don Tittle. Steve also was a judge for the finals of the California Country Music Awards and participated in the Los Angeles Unified School District's "Reflections" program as a judge for the musical composition category. He has released several records through his own record label, Pops Neon Records, and is also owner/administrator of two music publishing companies: Auntie Argon Music (BMI) and Mama Freon Music (ASCAP). Head Engineer/Producer Keith has been active in the music industry since 1990 as a producer, engineer, songwriter, and a DJ. He completed the UCLA Production and Engineering curriculum, graduating in June 2005. He works in all genres of music, with extensive experience in Hip-Hop, R&B, and Jazz. He has worked with Quincy Jones, Jeff Weber, Stevie Nicks, Scott Storch, & Christina Aguilera, to name a few. He is proficient in Pro Tools, Pro Logic and Reason.
